Overview
About Me
That age old secret of life, be completely engaged in what you are doing here and now, and instead of calling it work, realise it is play. The world is playing with you!
I'm English, although at heart I suspect I've absorbed parts of the places I've lived into my spirit, from Brazil to Japan, Australia to Sierra Leone. I am no longer such a traveller; I prefer to live in a place, (both morar and viver!) and to let it seep into me, to sense and feel it.
I believe that work is not a segment of life but life itself; my work is what I do and who I am; earning money (when I can!) is sometimes the outcome of that. Oftentimes the outcome is something far more important to me.
I feel close ties to Buddhist traditions and practice meditation of different kinds along with a range of personal practices. These add stability to what is, in honestly, a rather chaotic lifestyle.
Right now I'm exploring myself and my work in Brazil, working with local communities and social organisations to see where I can help best.
My pleasures include coffee (big), cooking, politics, philosophy (Alan Watts is a love of mine), nature and silence, religion (although I am not religious), meaning, small moments, universal trends, film, reading (so many books), doing nothing, dreaming, writing (I am in the process of writing my first book), culture, music, art (although I am fairly sure I don't understand it in the least), mountains, East and West and indulging, ignoring and smiling at every thought that passes through my mind.
I am so completely excited to connect with you!
I look forward to connecting with you!
I close connections to people from all walks of life and a believer in the power of a person to grow each day. I have lived in a few countries, including Japan, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Australia and now Brazil. I never turn down an opportunity to try something new.
