I'm passionate about education, the environment, and healthcare. I've worked in education and am studying and interning in outpatient mental health. I like consuming films and music that make me feel more alive. I grew up in a big family where we always hosted new people, so I love the down to earth nature of couch surfing's hospitality for the world culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a fan of the culture and have engaged with couch surfing groups in my area in the past. This is the kind of thing I'd like to do more at some point, both traveling and hosting.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've always loved sad music: singer songwriter, folk, indie etc but recently developed a taste for classic hip-hop. I listen to be challenged, to enhance an emotion or to analyze. Sigur ros are my go to for academic work.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once lead a group of frightened children and 15 horses to saftey from the top of a hill in a blistering thunderstorm. It's still one of my fondest memories. I'll never forget the sense of purpose I felt when I saw the fear dissipate from their eyes as I guided them home.

I'm so curious that I typically want to learn everything about everything. But I'm particularly fond of history, politics, language, philsophy, psychology, tips on amazing books and recipes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love the idea that couchsurfing is more than a place to stay. It's citizens of the world coming together as a community to prioritize connection, sharing, education, family and friendship. I hope to offer my authentic self, my compassion, my friendship, and my stuardship with both hosts and visitors.
