Why I’m on Couchsurfing

thats quite a story:
I once travelled together with a friend of mine through Germany. We had not planned anything, we just wanted to get out and see a little bit of the world for a weekend - so we hitchhiked around. One the second night we stranded up in Karlsruhe in the middle of a winternight and didn't know where to go.
But an hour after we had tried to find - totaly spontaneously - a host on couchsurfing, Manuel from Karlsruhe rescued us and offerd us a place for the night.

I once hithicked from Germany to Kopenhagen to Amsterdam and back to Germany in ca. 3 Weeks and met up with some friends there.
