About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To guide people around Brno, talk about its history and culture, take them around sightseeing and showing some peculiar stuff they wouldn't find themselves.
If you plan to visit Brno, feel free to ping me. I can recommend the best places for beer, local cuisine, sightseeing and anything else.
If you want a tour and I'm free, I can guide you through Brno, the focus is on you (e.g. churches, castles, nature, beer/wine, photogenic places, art galleries, museums, etc.)
Interests
SHARING CULTURE
I like to learn about different countries and people who live there. On the other hand, I can offer a voyage inside Slovakian and Czech culture, its history, gastronomy, etymology and ethnology.
BEER
I'm a beer enthusiast, which means I go around sampling lots of beer. Also, I brew amazing beer myself at home.
EXTREME GASTRONOMY
Extreme gastronomy is about trying foods which are unusual in taste, method of preparation or contain unusual ingredients.
Some of those foods I tried:
Surnstroming: fermented (rotted) herring (Sweden)
Durian: King of fruit, also smells bad (Indonesia)
Casu Marzu: Cheese with live maggots (Sardinia)
Haggis: Scottish sausage, really (Edinburgh)
Looking forward to (in near future):
Hakarl, Balut
RUNNING
Distance running is a big part of my life (if temperature is above 12°C). I'm attending few half-marathons and other runs through a year. Also I'm looking for running in unusual places and nice sceneries.
ASTRONOMY
Having interest in astronomy have brought many positive turns to life and also great traveling opportunities as solar eclipse hunter (Indonesia, USA, Argentina (2020))
