Intereses

COFFEE // I'm obsessed with coffee - I've been falling down this rabbit hole since 2017 and it's a growing passion. I work part-time in the specialty coffee industry as a barista; I make pourovers at home daily; and I do a lot of research on the subject! As of this year I'm learning how to roast and starting to get involved with competitions.

CLIMBING // I started climbing a year before the COVID pandemic and have recently restarted. At the moment I'm mostly bouldering indoors, however I would like to take this activity outdoors and eventually get into sport climbing. I love climbing because it's very mindful and it feels like I'm solving puzzles with my body.

HIKING // Perhaps "wandering" or "sauntering" would be a more appropriate term - I don't hike for sport, but as a way to explore and connect with places - in my city, in the mountains, wherever.

PHOTOGRAPHY // This used to be a more intensive hobby, but I still enjoy doing photography. I may even still have a photo blog on the interwebz somewhere...

DESIGN // I have a design background (mostly architectural, but also industrial and graphic), and while I'm not working in the field professionally, design very much permeates my world and remains and active interest.

I've seen the perfect sunset from an airplane window (several times, actually).
I also flew through the northern lights for two hours, which was absolutely breathtaking!
In Switzerland, I visited the thermal baths in Vals, which is arguably one of the most amazing architectural works of the twentieth century.
In St. John's, at night in the fog, I stood leaning against a giant ship and felt the immense energy of the ocean through the gentle rocking of the vessel.
I tripped on acid with a friend in Finland, which was easily one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.
I've experienced deafening silence while lying alone in the middle of the Negev desert.
I've stood at the foot of a massive glacier and experienced a moment of true awe in realizing how the waterways connect everything - from my hometown to the mountains I hike in.
