ABOUT ME

We are both upbeat and easy going.

Samuel is working as an architectural researcher at a university and currently looking for a job in practice, while working remotely and traveling. Lauren is finishing her last semester of Veterinary school in Dublin, IE.

This summer we'll be moving around a bit, meeting new places/people, and generally taking it easy.

Do people actually couchsurf in Knoxville? We've been familiar with the Couch Surfing project for sometime, but am excited to finally take the step into participating. We'll see what happens...

Riding bikes. Traveling. Reading. All varieties of chocolate. Good food. Drawing. Organized, eclectic chaos.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Edward Abbey; non-fiction topics about environmental history; swallowing up a lot of literature I missed along the way recently

Movies: I always avoid answering this question (though not sure why).

Music: Classic rock (rolling stones, yes, the who, neil young, dylan, zeppelin, beattles, van morrison, etc); some "older" hiphop (de la soul, Tribe, warreng, mobb deep, wutang, slickrick); an assortment of 80's/90s rock (pixies, meat puppets, dinosaur jr, sleater kinney, etc); some contemporary stuff (my morning jacket, Ed Sharpe, mumford, radiohead, any local band that can jam)

We like good stories (however they come).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Reading (or watching) anything to do with space and space-exploration.

Know-ish-sorta: architecture/design; tinkering with bikes (ends at tinkering); properly folding maps; Lauren knows animals (inside and out)
