About Me

I am a calm and curious person with a love for good cuisine and not afraid to discuss politics in a civilised manner.

I studied Business Administration at a governmental development agency, left it to study Political Science and Contemporary History - fields I am really interested in -, worked in an international IT-Consulting company and I am back to the development sector and found a new passion in programming and my dog Moyo (after the economist 🤓).

I am NOT interested in Tour Guides or Dates.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just moved to back to Kampala after a few years for work and I am looking connecting with the local Couchsurfing community to burst my bubble of colleagues and family.

Interests

I am going to at least one music festival each summer, since I am 14. Also in Kampala I always up to join fellow couchsurfer for any good concerts or festivals in town or the region. Besides that, I am quite into photography (and gear), politics and tech.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am usually listen to music all of the time. My favourite genre at the moment is "modern classical music" like Nils Frahm, Ólafur Arnalds, electronic music like Bonobo, John Hopkins, Grime and African Dancehall - as well as everything in between.

Spoiled by the lack of copyright law (FUNZ) in Uganda I am spoiled by series and am at the moment stuck with Watchmen and the Mandalorian. Following the Witcher, I just started to read the original books and am still stuck with my all time reading "Wheel of time" by Robert Jordan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spend 8 hours in custody at the Airport in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) due to a failure of the visa department at work. Definitely the most intense night I ever had.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am have nothing specific what I teach somebody. However, I am always eager to learn something new.
At the moment I am mainly focussed on improving my skills in data analytics from the theoretical aspects as well its application with R and Python and also learning some rather basic stuff of programming in general.

Besides I always hope - despite my lack of talent - to learn Luganda as well as French.
