Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
mainly as a host. As a student I usually have less spare time but since I still want to meet people, and I try to do some hosting whenever I can. I haven't been able to the past two years though due to some various reasons but I hope I can resume that now. I am graduating this year and I hope to try some couchsurfing myself.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had many good experiences in couchsurfing. I started hosting surfers around three years ago Many of the people you meet are very respectful and you make really good friends who you have even long after they leave. It's an awesome experience and I have liked it for most part.
However, I have occasionally had cases where surfers send requests but do not show up after accepting , without notification of the change.
Past that, I am always willing to give you advice on recommended places to visit and such in case you ever visit. Kyoto is a beautiful city where you get the full traditional Japanese experience. Believe me, as a foreigner who traveled to other places.
I usually prefer to host on the weekends for one or two nights since I am usually busy on the weekdays and I often have to go out of the city.
Anyway, sorry for rumbling on and on. For those who endured this loooong section thanks. You can notify me in your email by writing "Why don't you hit me with your best shot" . That would make me really happy and I will reply almost instantly since it shows you're a serious surfer. (^^)
