About Me

I'm Sam DeStefano. I was born in Morton Illinois, grew up in Phoenix, AZ as well as lived in Colorado Springs, CO for a year after graduating high school. After that year in Colorado, I moved back to Arizona to be closer with family and build a life there. I have done so for about 4 years now, working in high-end automotive luxury dealerships as an Internet Manager. I'm enthusiastic and intentional about everything that I do, and while I've been working for BMW here in Arizona - I've created 'Sammy, The Luxury Expert' on social media that really spread interest and brought many people from the internet to work with me, and advancing me in my career very quickly. I took photo's, and video's and built lasting relationships with many clients' outside of work. It was ton's of FUN!

About a year ago, I broke free of debt by following Dave Ramsey's system titled 'Financial Peace' and after graduating from his class and leading it (4 times), I discovered 'Mr. Money Mustache'. Here is where the real adventure begins... (and if you haven't discovered 'Mr.MM' - go look it up right now) this silly named blogger writes about living a simplistic frugal life, lowering expenses to amazingly low levels, and saving a combined 50% - 80% of your income. As you can imagine, when you adopt this lifestyle and build that type of wealth in retirement accounts' you become free of the pressure's of caring about anything and all that is left is to enjoy life! I've loved this feeling and has been my current 'high' for the last 1 1/2 years... slowly but surely, I adopt more of his outlook on life each day. I sold my 2014 BMW Coupe for a 2001 Toyota Corolla. I finished my lease on a high rise condo downtown for a modest apartment that lowered my lease by more than half. I stopped drinking every night and replaced it with going out socializing with friends'. I have replaced my 'stuff' with more Happiness than I ever knew I could experience. People seem to be more drawn to me now and I love sharing my story, frugal hack's of everyday life with others', as well as my experiences...

The next phase of this journey is Travel... I saved a small amount in my budget for about 6 month's and traveled to Lake Tahoe for the first time this last month! However since that trip, I have lost the taste for consuming and gotten the taste for experiencing. I'm hooked and curious to see if I would be able to 'Extreme Travel' which would look like traveling with as little money as possible because of the different experiences that you have when traveling and seeing new places without money, without planning, and without reservation.

I love meeting new people, and travel isn't possible without meeting new people. Send me a message if you would like to grab lunch, go cliff diving together, or even just grab a beer at a local brewery.

*I have no judgement against anyone for anything that they choose however I would like to put it on the record that I am straight and am interested in only Woman.
