Just Arrived in Newtown, Sydney where I'll be living for the next however many months. Looking for people to meet up with.

Im a former language student, and therefore had the chance to live abroad for a year, spending time in France, Russia and the Czech Republic, carrying out internships and study visits. I had the most amazing time and have had the travel bug ever since.

I would say I'm a very open-minded person who loves meeting new people and finding out about their cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Although I've never done couchsurfing before, I've been involved in similar schemes such as Wwoofing and Workaway, which are based on an exchange rather than a service. I spent 3 months working on farms and on different projects in France a few summers back and had the time of my life.

I find such schemes very appealing as through them you get to meet people you might never have met as a typical tourist, especially those who actually have ties to the place you are visiting.

Via Couchsurfing, I hope to travel and discover the authentic side of the place I'm visiting, while finding like-minded people to spend time and make bonds with.
