About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am Living in Spain, learning Spanish and teaching English

ABOUT ME

I left high school in 2009 and started work as a Teaching Assistant. I taught for about 9 months before making my first long distance tracks in the road. hitting up South Africa, Australia, Fiji, Singapore and Malaysia.

Having such a great time I decided to skip university and started looking for temporary work permits abroad. The Canadian youth experience visa was easy enough to get and in a part of the world, I had never visited. Using Toronto as my base and making loads of wonderful friends along the way(Toronto means Meeting place in a local, native language)I travelled parts of eastern Canada, including Quebec and northern Ontario.

Towards the end of my time in Canada, I went west, hanging out in Victoria island and Vancouver city before flying south to Santa Cruz to meet up with some old high school friends with plans to road trip back to Toronto via the Southern states of America. After we successfully completed the road trip I chilled in Toronto for another month before heading home to the UK!

I then moved north to Manchester for a coupla Months, working as a waiter. Meeting one of the most wonderful, tight and genuinely outstanding friendship groups.

After Manchester, I moved to the Netherlands to study international politics (for 4 years), again I was lucky enough to meet lots of wonderful and outstanding friends. I finished university in the summer of 2017 and try to meet up with my friendship group from university relatively regularly (though this can be difficult). We have been doing this by meeting at summer festivals, last year we went to Dour festival in Belgium and this summer we went to Fusion festival, close to Berlin.

I am moving to Alicante very soon

PHILOSOPHY

viva la sharing economy!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My housemate is an active member on Couchsurfing, we have had several lovely experiences with people visiting us. This has reinvigorated me to be actively open to new people and new experiences and I feel that Couchsurfing is a great way to do this.

Interests

I also enjoy surfing (Im just getting the hang of it), skateboarding and football. I love exploring cities, eating new food and meeting new people.

I recently started hitchhiking and have really enjoyed my journeys, meeting an array of interesting and kind people, all with a sense of adventure.
