About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet my fellow humans, wherever they may be. Love them and learn from them.

ABOUT ME

I am a pilgrim here. I read, write, build, create, and sing my way through life with the people I love. I enjoy getting lost on backcountry roads alone with my motorcycle. I'll sing you a song and walk with you for a while.

PHILOSOPHY

Let's talk

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Thus far, I've primarily been a surfer. I try to leave my hosts' lodgings better than when they were given to me, and I do whatever I can to display my gratitude through service (washing dishes, helping with chores, etc.). When I decide to root down a little more permanently (and get a couch) I hope to hosts people frequently!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have informally couchsurfed for many years, but I'm excited to utilize the official channel!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A buddy and I once swam from the Greek island Antiparos to a tiny neighboring island with our camping gear in trash bags tied to a driftwood raft. It was the windiest day I've ever experienced, the current was unbelievably strong (not to mention frigid), and after what must have been a few hours in the water I seriously began to think we might drown. We finally made it to shore and built a wind-shelter from an old door we found washed up on the beach. The Island was only about 100 yds across and was inhabited only by a few goats (don't ask me how they got there). I awoke in the middle of the night to find that the ferocious wind had blown every trace of cloudy moisture out of the sky and revealed the most magnificent and vibrant starscape I may ever see in my life. The milky way shone so bright and colorfully it cast a full shadows of our bodies on the sand. Sometimes apparent curses turn out to be blessings.
