About Me
CURRENT MISSION/S
Visit old friends and make new ones throughout Europe and the world.
Learn what I can about the languages of the countries I'm visiting; listen to people speak in their mother tongue.
Learn 10 languages in 10 years. (Perhaps too ambitious!)
Drink local beers and eat local food.
Uncover family histories in the Baltic states (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia) by foot and Eurail pass, stealth camping, conversation, investigation and couchsurfing!
ABOUT ME
I'm a 27-year-old Australian from the east coast in a beachy town called Newcastle. While I do not surf, I spend much time outdoors and work in the bush amongst all the things that can kill you in Australia! Intending to become a Lithuanian to return to Europe to re-attend university.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet radical folks, share stories and learn about the world.
Interests
I'm particularly inclined to uncover any information I can about my grandparents' emigration to Australia. They left the Baltic States during the occupation and did not tell my mother or aunty anything about their time there or why they left. While I did not meet them, I still feel a connection to Lithuania and Latvia and want to learn as much as I can about where I come from!

Psychedelic rock, metal, ambient and jazz.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once witnessed an Australian Hobby (bird of prey) swoop from a telegraph pole into the grass, start wrestling something, then all fell silent... 10 seconds pass, a juvenile Hobby flaps over onto the telegraph pole and starts squawking at his mum on the ground. More moments pass, and then! Away she flaps, a snake in her clutches. We follow her to where she lands and drops the snake. It's an Australian Eastern Brown Snake, the second most venomous in the world, now headless. A bird ripped the head off a snake!
I never felt like David Attenborough more in that moment.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can blather on endlessly about Australia and what a ridiculous place it is. Maybe I can introduce you to the morning wonders of the moka pot, too.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A great chat and a big pot of salsa.
