About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Build a good collection of life experiences. Learn Spanish.

ABOUT ME

I'm a fairly laid back person, easy to get on with and am always up for trying something new.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in treating others as you would wish to be treated and generally be a decent person.

Politically I have fairly left wing views, I believe that a societies aims should be to help those who are less fortunate while still maintaining personal freedoms.

Interests

I am very passionate about music (see below)

I like to travel as well as read about the world and the many countries I would love to visit.

I also like history.

Music, Movies, and Books

I could write for a long time about the music that I enjoy, but in a nutshell I generally like fairly laid back music, especially dance music and hip hop. However I will listen to anything from jazz to reggae, from classical to rock music. Recently I have got into funk, disco and soul and is my favourite music to hear on a night out.

Favourite artists include: Pink Floyd, Parliament/Funkadelic, Arcade Fire, Nujabes, Nightmares On Wax, Thievery Corporation, Pete Rock.

Films that I enjoy include, Pulp Fiction, The Godfather parts 1 and 2, Goodfellas, One Flew Over The Cookoo's Nest, In Bruges and 12 Monkeys

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is probably not the most amazing thing I have ever done or seen, but is a moment I will never forget:

Standing on the Acropolis in Athens and watching the sun set over the city with a friend of mine and a couple of people we had met in the city. I simply remember being very happy and content with life.

Teach, Learn, Share

As a teacher I believe that the aim of teaching is not simply to impart knowledge but to spark an interest in a subject (or even knowledge itself). So if you like to read about history I will suggest reading about a man called Philip the 2nd of Macedon, who was father of Alexander the great, his life is one of my favourite parts of Greek History (which I am very much a fan of). I hope that this makes you want to read about his life, and the impact it had on the Greek world.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Laos, Netherlands, Philippines, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

China, Spain
