About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the United States of America

ABOUT ME

Born in Australia from local and imported ingredients. I love getting to know people from all walks of life. I had an opportunity to work at my fathers bar part time when I was 16. This type of work was truly suited to me as I was able to meet people, there was a creative element and I got paid! I finished year 12 at Rosny College in 2005 obtaining certificates in both VET Hospitality and VET Tourism. A VET course is run through TAFE Colleges and is basically a combination of both theory and work placements in which ever chosen field. This help kick start my chosen career. Since then I've worked as a bartender, barista, waiter and manager in many different styles of venues. I'm planning to open up my own business with my girlfriend in the very near future. I want to create something with focus on sustainability, community and innovation while maintaining strong ties to a 'Farm To Fork' ethos.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't waste your time on jealousy;
Sometimes you're ahead,
Sometimes You're behind.
The race is long, and in the end, it's only with yourself.

Interests

Drinking fine BOOZE and eating tasty FOOD, the occasional COOK-UP, watching the NBA especially now that the HORNETS are back in Charlotte, TRAVELING to new countries and staying off the tourist track, quite the nerd in regards to VIDEO GAMES, huge fan of the ZOMBIE genre, learning about SUSTAINABILITY and how to live and work practicing it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy movies by Quentin Tarantino, Stanley Kubrick, Guy Ritchie, Oliver Stone, Joel Coen & Ethan Coen, Spike Jonze and Wes Anderson. I like to read books by Jack Kerouac, William S. Burroughs, Hunter S. Thompson and Dr. Seuss. I enjoy all music, however, I've really been getting into Bluegrass and Honky Tonk since traveling America. Just can't beat it live!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 21 I went to Mexico and South America with a friend. It was the first time overseas for both of us and it was a very spontaneous trip both per-traveling and during. I saw and did so much but what I really valued the most from the experience is that it changed the way I see the world and myself. A huge stepping stone in a good direction.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make a mean cocktail! I want to learn about day-to-day sustainable living and urban farming. They are my biggest interests at the moment.

Countries I’ve Visited
