About Me

NAMASTE
Myself Sandesh, a 28 year young guy living in the countryside of Nepal experiencing and experimenting the dream lifestyle which I always wanted to. The vision is to re-generate the ages-old culture of growing our own food, living basic & minimal in harmony with nature and creating a communal way of living where humans from all around the world can share their great energy; a place where we can resonate with joy, love, smiles, skills, stories, culture, lifestyle, adventure and many more.
So, the name of the project is called, "The Agri-Culture Lifestyle" which is located 75 km north from Kathmandu on a hilly district of Bidur-1, Nuwakot, which is the administrative headquarter of the district. Nearby the main town of Nuwakot there lies our small village name Simutar. To make it more precise its a same highway that leads many travelers to Langtang National park which is easy accessible with transportation.

Actually, this all started when the crisis of covid-19 hit. I felt there was no option left except to convert it into the opportunity to live my vision which I was envisioning for years. Being a guy who is a licensed trekker passionately active into travelling and exploring the different parts of Nepal by profession. When Covid happened I couldn't stay quiet doing nothing. I was faced with creating the lifestyle I always wanted. This is my solo initiative to create a communal living space for all kinds of creative and like minded people, stay close to my parents, rejuvenate the land for a better ecosystem, and create the best culture of creativity, growing our own food, sharing, living sustainably and making it a lifestyle for the profound present generation while weaving the path for upcoming ones.

Nearby the main town of Nuwakot district there lies our small vilage name simutar About the property I have a 12 by 24 foot concrete/metal roofed house on the middle of rice fields which we are using more as a common room, one eastern style toilet, a hand washing tap, and shower area for a bucket shower. Everything we build comes mostly from reusing the materials left out from the damaged house from 2015 Earthquake. our farm land is spread around 2 acres and the plan is to turn this whole land into permaculture design for self sustainably. For now I don't have enough structures for separate private rooms but people who visited I cater them with tents as camping is very suitable in our farmland. we have one main kitchen with Nepalese firewood cooking style and another outdoor Gas stove kitchen as well.
There are 2 cows and their babies as well, they have their shelter in the livestock area in the farm. Cows are major part in the farm, to use their compost in rejuvenating the land and make the soil more fertile to grow the seasonal vegetables and flowering plants without any chemical fertilizers.

When I am saying this is my solo initiative, its more about the vision but when it comes to physical and emotional support aspect its uncomplete without My Mom and Dad. They have been always the biggest support/help for my vision and it cannot be complete without them.
My Family which includes my Mom. Dad, big brother, and grandmother. They live in the main family house which is just a minute walk from the farm hence, I am the one who is living, taking care of the property and hosting guests and travelers, and when I am not there my parents are always there to help with plants, garden, cows and all.

How to get there?
well, our farm is 75 km north towards langtang National park from kathmandu, it takes 2-3 hours maximum and you can get the bus that leaves very half hours from morning 6 am to 2 pm in the afternoon from the place called (Macchapokhari -trishuli bus sation.) in Kathmandu. the fair price is around 350 Rs.
