About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a Moroccan immigrant living in the San Francisco/Bay area in N. California. My Moroccan roots are a strong part of my personality but living in the US my whole adult life has contributed greatly to shaping who I am. I am continuously working out the tensions associated with naturally wanting to assimilate as a social being and being highly critical of US domestic and foreign policy.
I love to meet people and learn from them, life is more fun when we are open to listening to each other's perspectives.
I have a lot of gratitude for my life and experiences and I try to be conscious of that as much as I can. I am grateful for my family, friends/community, health and the opportunity to follow my dreams and see the world!
My work-passion is fighting for human rights/social justice, particularly as it pertains to women, children and immigrant populations.
My passion passion is traveling!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people and get a local feel for the places I visit rather than the generic hostel experience. Seeing beautiful places around the world is great and if I'm able to share in diversity and culture with people, even better :)
