ABOUT ME

I am currently spending the Fall 2009 semester studying abroad and it has recently been pointed out to me that in certain ways, studying abroad is like being a little kid again: I go to classes in the morning, spend the rest of my day exploring and going on adventures, and the only real schedule in place is showing up for dinner on time. It seems like an apt comparison. I am a Senior at the small, liberal arts college of Lake Forest, soon to be graduating with a major in Creative Writing and History. This semester may very well be my last chance to experience life unencumbered by social and familial responsibilities. I want to meet new people, experience life, and see all that the world has to offer.

I love life and I think I approach the world with a child-like glee that is apparent whenever I find or experience something new. Living in Italy is an absolute dream come true and as I wander around the Tuscan countryside I feel my imagination take flight and lead me towards so many amazing experiences.
I have a relaxed and curious personality, two characteristics that I feel are necessary as a traveler. I love meeting new people, hearing new ideas, and learning. Occasionally I will get lost in introspection and need to pull myself out, but most of the time I prefer to be constantly moving and experiencing new things.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently studying abroad right now, so I don't have a couch to offer. :( In the future I will definitely have a couch for others to make use of, but for now I can only offer fun stories, adventures, smiles and lots of laughter.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met some of the most fantastic people through CouchSurfing! I love to travel, but I am sure most of my time spent abroad was made so meaningful and memorable by the people I met and stayed with along my journey.
