ABOUT ME/ US

all about us ...well, Holger and I are great of course : ) just meet us and find out...

We miss the freedom of travelling and exploring the world so we decided to take three months time this autumn and travel to OZ. The idea is to travel and work - as we both cant't take this amount of time off from our regular work.
Holger has his own start-up outdoor brand where he needs to keep in contact with our seweries and take care of customer requests and marketing. I am working for a small engineering company as a project manager. Therefore we might be spending some mornings in front of our laptops and then enjoy the afternoon, go meet new people and enjoy the outdoors with our mountainbikes and running or climbing shoes.

PHILOSOPHY

Based on one of my favourite German songs :): schmeiß die möbel aus dem fenster, wir brauchen platz zum dancen

Despite the dancing part, our idea of life is that the world is a place to discover. And that we want to stay open-minded and positive. At home we are living on a small farm, trying our best to eat local and organic and leave a small impact (besides the flying, I know that of course).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I enjoy the possibilities cs offers, creating a network and coming to know different cultures, philosophies, lifestyles.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Tried couchsurfing in the US for the first time (2008). It`s the best way to travel for openminded and interested people. Then lateron I travelled in OZ (2009) and made my way with hitchhiking and cs. While we were travelling Europe with our little caravan we met up with some Couchsurfers (2014) and since then we just travelled short term in our camping bus doing a lot of outdoor sports stuff within short distance of Germany. So this trip in autumn 2019 got me back to the CS idea. Unfortunately we can't host in our place coz the farmers we live with are not as open-minded. But we are working on it :)

Interests

We both are big into outdoor sports and will bring our own mountainbikes to OZ. But we are also happy to discover a city, find our favourite coffee shop, go out for some beers and talk about life :)
