About Me

My current mission is to impact every person I meet in a positive way and leave them in a better mood than they were.

From Estonia originally, I spend 4-5 months of the year around the world pursuing different challenges and learning about people, business, cultures and myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am passionate about meeting people from all different areas of life and learning to understand their stories. The best way to understand a culture, country and people is to by interacting with them one-on-one besides being a typical tourist.

I believe that you can learn something from everybody. People have helped me in my life and it has made all the difference. To me, offering that friendly hand back is not paying a debt but a natural thing like breathing out after breathing in.

Interests

I have too many hobbies :)

I like to try new things: surfing, kayaking, and different sports. But the ones that I like the most are running, yoga and winter swimming.

Music, Movies, and Books

Book: Ryan Holiday, Eckhart Tolle, Sebastian Junger, Victor Frankl

Movie: inspiring movies like Peaceful Warrior, good documentaries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have sold educational books to US families for 7 summers in one of the most rigorous entrepreneurial programs in the world, working 12+ hours a day, 6 days a week, 12 weeks for the summer. I have met over 3000 families each summer - rich, poor, old, young, different ethnicities, different family situations, different values. One of the most eye opening experiences of my life which has taught me a lot about being humble, self-discipline and ego, but even more about where different decisions have led in life. I have seen qualities and behaviors I admire and want to become like and qualities I swore I will never do myself. I have learned to understand people and the way they think and feel - their ambitions, goals, hopes, fears and expectations.

Thanks to selling books I got to travel to India, Peru, Thailand and many other places in the world. India was a completely different environment: life-changing, inspiring and gave me new perspective in life. Peru was eye-opening, led me to heights up to 4600m and led me back to living my why. Thailand taught me a lot about treating others, being humble and respecting your body.
