Why I’m on Couchsurfing

From April 14th until August 2008 we were travelling South America and surfed some couches there. Back in The Netherlands, we moved to Utrecht and we have mainly been returning the favor there. After Utrecht, we lived in beautiful Switzerland for 5 years, where our 2 lovely kids were born. Since 2020 we are back in our old student town Wageningen, where our journey together began!

Interests

People, music, good food and drinks, movies, politics, arts (paintings, architecture), religion (although we're not religious), nature, technology, cultural differences... there's too much!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing the Huayna Potosi in Bolivia and reaching the summit at 6088 meters at 7:00 am in the morning!

As for the practical stuff: Maartje is really good at sewing and Sander is handy with computers and stuff.
