About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a fun, knowledge-loving person who can best be described by my motto: "Dream, risk, have fun, and never regret!"

I also love to travel, meet people, try new things, and have new experiences.

All in all, I believe that it's better for people to see who I really am by themselves, although I do think that you're going to like me anyway.

PHILOSOPHY

My motto is to dream, take risks, have fun, and never regret - this should say it all.

But other than that:

"The World is a sick place, a sick place indeed, and it's getting worse, not better! We, only we have the power to change it and if we have the power, then why not to use it?" - Peter Cox

"Do what you feel in your heart to be right - for you'll be criticized anyway. You'll be damned if you do, and damned if you don't." - Eleanor Roosevelt

"You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does not exist." - Nietzsche

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate in couchsurfing by hosting others if possible, as well as surfing by myself. I do love to meet people and make new connections, therefore I am always happy to just meet, talk, have fun and experience some great things.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In the summer of 2012 I had my first couchsurfing trip and I have met many couchsurfers from that time. I have had hosts that just host me and want to talk for hours while eating dinner and also after that. I have had a host that was trying to seduce me, whom I did not like - it was a 30-40 year-old, short and not the cleanest guy after all. I have also had hosts that have showed me to their lovely families, who have shown me around, who have introduced me to their friends etc.
But the best experience was probably in Paris, where at first I had no host but by the end we spent four days with some other couchsurfers, going to see plays, eating dinners, talking throughout the night etc. This was a great experience.

Interests

I love psychology, philosophy, debating, economics, marketing, people management, political-studies, sociology, history, law, science, reading books and watching films - this is also everything I spend my time on from day-to-day.
I also like to ski both cross-country and downhill; snowboard, skate, roller-skate, cycle, swim, run, jog, play tennis and golf and just have fun and party.
Most of my time is consumed by my startup and somewhat studies, but I still try to read a lot and spend enough time together with my friends.

My favourite books are: Zero to One, The Hard Thing About Hard Things, Sherlock Holmes, Thus Spoke Zarathustra, The Magic of Thinking Big, Think and Grow Rich, Personality Plus and books from the following authors: Sir Richard Branson, Dale Carnegie, Allan Pease, Robin Sharma, John C. Maxwell.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most amazing thing for me has been the time, when we went hunting in South Africa. The feeling, when you wake up at five am, go to a field, sit down and wait for the sun to rise and ducks to start flying - this is an awesome feeling. Also it is awesome to do night-shooting, when you basically cannot see anything but the bucks eyes flashing towards your flash and you try to catch him or her, while it is running away. It really is a magnificent feeling.
Another moment to remember is when I was standing on top of Ben Nevis (the mountain in Scotland) and I was looking down towards the lakes, villages etc. It was also great feeling to stand next to those lochs all-over Scotland and looking towards different mountains, but standing on top of the mountain is a really great feeling.
And as an mountain-skier, I cannot fail to mention the awesome feeling, when you are standing on top of the mountain, looking down; starting to move and feeling the wind in your face!
