Overview
About Me
I'm 25 year old design student living in Baltimore. I've just moved to the US and am slowly getting used to the culture here. I love seeing new places, exploring restaurants, going to live music/stand up gigs and great conversations!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I hope to make the most of my stay in the US and want to see as much of the country as I can and in the process make new friends, and add brand new experiences to my life!
Interests
Taking walks, hiking, most adventure activities, meeting new people, listening to perspectives, learning from experiences (people's/my own).
I'm vegetarian, so it's a challenge for me to find too many options in food, but I love trying anyway. A BIG fan of Indian food.
I also love watching movies/theatre/stand-up acts.
I'm not a great singer but i'm pushing myself to sing more. I LOVE karaoke.

Music, Movies, and Books
The music I listen to is super varied- Pop to Jazz to Folk to anything that sounds good to my ear. Sia is one of my favorite artists! I also love listening to smooth jazz compilations while cooking/working. Another topper on my list is Coke Studio (Indian/Pakistani folk-fusion).
Movie-wise, I prefer watching happy, cheery movies. Though every once in a while I enjoy strange plots too. Some of my favorite movies are Nottinghill, Love Actually, Beyond Sunrise, Pulp Fiction, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Hunger Games Series. I love most popular 'happy' TV series- the Big Bang theory, Frasier, Friends, Castle...
I'm not much of a reader, though i've enjoyed a couple reads- Freakonomics, The Hunger Games Trilogy, the Harry Potter Series, the White Tiger, Jane Eyre
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm usually a shy person, so it was a breakthrough for me to go on a 11 day hiking trip in the Shivalik Range of the Himalayas with complete strangers. Undoubtedly, it was the best trip of my life.
