ABOUT ME

I grew up in Kaiserslautern, Germany and lived there until I moved to beautiful Heidelberg to study. I have lived there for the last 9 years with a two one year breaks in 2006/2007 when I studied abroad in San Diego, CA and in 2011/2012 when I went back to the US for a research visit and lived in New York.

I'm an easy to get along with guy who loves to travel and visit friends in cities all over the world. I love the beach and all the things you can do there, surfing, beach volleyballing, relaxing... Except in winter of course, when I prefer the mountains to go skiing and snowboarding.

So much for activities, for all the rest meet or visit me and find out...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted some couchsurfers in the past, right now unfortunately I cannot offer a couch. I am always willing to meet for a coffee or a beer and show you around a little...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed couches all over Michigan, as well as in Chicago, San Diego and Hawaii. All different, but all great experiences. I have hosted some and hope to being able to host some more people at my place in the near future... and can't wait to go on the next road trip surfing couches.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing would be: The Pipeline Masters final in Dec 2006, the late Andy Irons beating Kelly Slater with probably the best last wave in the history of surfing. :) Just comes to mind, since it was connected to my first CS experience...
