About Me
ENGLISH
Hello! I'm Sandy, a genuine and friendly person who is easy to get along with (except when I am hungry, then I am a grouchy monster, haha). I'm from the USA (Indiana) and Germany (Passau) and have family in both places. Ecuador and the Andes are also important places to me, where I have dear host families and friends. I share life and love with my partner Asa, who also has a CS profile.
I love the philosophy behind CS - the world can really be a home for all of us when we are open to others.

Hola! Soy Sandy, una persona sincera y amable. Me llevo bien con todo el mundo (pero cuando tengo hambre, soy un monstruo malhumorado, jaja). Music, Movies, and Books
Book: Homegoing, by Yaa Gyasi. So good.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in the Andes of Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia while learning Spanish and some Kichwa and Quechua during a one-year Watson fellowship.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to learn - as a teacher and an artist, I continue to seek wisdom and knowledge wherever I am, as well as inspiration for my next project, travel, or just for life in general.
Always ready to share my love of knitting and fiber arts - all you need is your willing hands and some yarn :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love sharing stories and life experiences over a cup of tea, coffee, or wine.
I will always leave the place I stay looking as good or better than I found it!
