About Me

Starting in October 2024, I’ll finally fulfill my dream of taking an extended trip through South America, New Zealand, Australia, and Asia. I’m excited to see where this journey will take me! As a child, I was always fascinated by my grandparents' travel stories. Their adventures inspired me to explore these places myself, and now my bucket list is overflowing with dream destinations. Alongside planning this adventure, I’m currently writing my master’s thesis, which has been a challenging experience but I am looking forward to finishing it soon (hopefully).

I’m a curious and open-minded person, always eager to learn and try new things. That’s why I love traveling—getting to know new places, people, and their stories. When I travel, I enjoy a mix of city and nature. Sometimes I like to take time for myself to unwind—whether it’s reading, listening to music, or going for a hike—but I also love connecting with others and sharing fun moments, like dancing the night away.

Through Couchsurfing, I’ve had the chance to meet so many wonderful and fascinating people during my travels. It’s such a unique way to get to know a place and people. Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I absolutely love music! My Spotify is a vibrant mix, but my favorite genres are Reggae, Dancehall, Afrobeats, Bongo Flava, and Folk Pop. I really enjoy going to concerts and festivals and can never resist checking out live music—whether it’s a jam session at a jazz bar or singer-songwriters performing on the streets, count me in!

Movies:
As a '90s kid, Disney movies and Harry Potter are my go-to comfort films. I also enjoy political thrillers and movies based on true stories. I’m open to all kinds of genres, though I’ll pass on horror movies—they tend to keep me up at night!

Books:
I’ve recently rediscovered my love for reading after university, where all the academic texts temporarily took away my joy for a good book. I especially enjoy books that completely draw you in, though I don’t have a current favorite. I’d love to hear about your favorite books and any recommendations you have!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Doing a Safari in Tansania, hearing the Buffalos and Hyenas next to the tent at night and waking up to a stunning sunrise above the Serengeti

Teach, Learn, Share

I love exchanging experiences with others, whether it’s sharing travel stories, discussing music or books etc... I’m always happy to offer tips on places I’ve been, share insights into different cultures, or introduce you to my favorite recipes and playlists. At the same time, I’m eager to learn from others—whether it’s discovering new languages, exploring different cultural perspectives, or picking up a new recipe.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I bring a positive attitude, curiosity, and a love for connecting with people. I’m passionate about cooking and always excited to try new recipes—especially if we can cook your favorite dishes together. I’m also happy to swap music recommendations. I’m a good listener and really enjoy hearing about other people’s experiences and stories. At the same time, I’m independent and can easily keep myself busy if needed. I look forward to spending time with my hosts, sharing moments, and creating memories together.
