I am an easy going, warm, positive and energetic Portuguese Canadian. I was born in Portugal, grew up in a small town in Canada and lived in San Francisco, California for 4.5 years before embarking on my travels. I'm a spontaneous, creative soul, philosopher, adventurer and people person, all rolled into one. I love to laugh and share fun experiences with those around me. I'm always up for an adventure and exploring my surroundings but also appreciate a relaxed night of Netflix or games like cards against humanity (which I carry with me) over a glass of red wine! I'm excited to see more of Australia!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people, hearing their stories and sharing some laughs and new experiences together! Besides traveling, it's the best what to learn about the world, different cultures, and people. An added benefit, I find it enriching and something that adds to my knowledge and practice in counseling my clients.

Interests

Travel, art/design, vintage/antiques, music, yoga & meditation, exercise, beaches, nature, trekking, board games with friends, cooking, wine and coffee. Lately I've been doing more crafting, thankfully and started designing and making my own necklaces and have transferred my Instagrams onto mini canvases! Last yesr I upcycled some antiques. This year I hope to learn how to sew and make my own upcycled vintage clothing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just climbed into the Crater of Mount Ijen in Java. Travelled alone in Southeast Asia for two months!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Portuguese, some good recipes, and some DIY projects. I love to share good music and nice scenery with those around me! If you have kids, I can help with that, as I have lots of experience with kids! If you have pets, I'll give them lots of cuddles too, I love animals.
