About Me
I love meeting people from other countries, listening to travel stories and learning about other cultures. Because of that, I did a one-year student exchange in New Zealand when I was 16 and after graduating from high school, I volunteered in Peru for another year. At the moment I'm studying, so I only get to travel in my holidays (if I have enough money), which is why in the mean time I try to meet people from other countries at home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I first heard about couchsurfing during my voluntary year in Peru, because my host family there had couchsurfing visitors a couple of times while I was with them. This year in summer I hitchhiked through Eastern Europe with two other friends and we stayed a few nights with some really amazing couchsurfing hosts. I guess staying with locals is the best way to actually get to know a place and to learn something about a culture, which I think travelling is all about. Apart from that, I figured that backpackers belong to the most friendly, awesome, interesting people in the world and that I would like to meet more of them by hosting myself =)
