About Me

Hi everybody! I’m a 31-year old Chilean girl: travel addict, wine&food lover (preferably accompanied by a good conversation) and photography passionate.

I love traveling with all my heart.. so..after almost 3 years of traveling by my own..living in random people houses, using my suitcase as my closet and changing home every 2 months, with a really tight budget all the time, I decided that I needed better stability in my life without sacrificing my true love for travel. So I got myself a job as a flight attendant for a big airline out of Dubai.
I lived there for almost 3 years, only to realize I was missing my old life and I needed to get back to the uncertainty, the adventure... the feeling of being real and living a real life!... I was craving nature, animals and real/ interesting conversations with normal people living a normal life.
So, I decided that Dubai was not meant for me; I quit my job and came to live and work on a farm in one of the Greek Islands.

I spent 3 amazing months there. It was perfect. It was a very introspective time, very calm and just spending time with my self, trying not to worry about the future.

And now, after deciding to reinvent myself, I live in Madrid. Living my dream! I'm a photographer now and I couldn't be happier! I'm in love with my new career change! and totally in love with this city!

Things are just getting better and better :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I honestly believe that human beings are here to help each other. We are all connected in many ways, more ways that we can imagine; and we need each other, not just to survive, but also to be happy and make our lives easy. Every day.

In this case, if we really really want to travel with all our hearts, we don’t need a lot of money to do that, we just need to really want to do it and just go for it!... for that matters we need each other..
Again.. helping each other, behaving like brothers and sisters.. cause we are! I always say to my friends.. I want to live in a world where strangers help each others, where random people become your best friend over a day and where everything you dream of can become real if you truly believe it can and you work towards it.

and of course... I believe in Karma.
We are not one man in an island. We live together and if we see someone that needs help, we should help them. One day It could be us and we will all hope that someone turn a hand to us.
And I really hope one day, *serendipity* I can honestly help to all those who need a hand and specially for all those who gave one to me.

Interests

I absolutely love travelling! Specially road trips! . and meeting adventurous and inspiring people who can help me recharge my energy and find new motivations to keep going! and of course give me new ideas for future trips!

I love photography and dream that one day I can mix up my 2 passions,… travel and photography… who knows…maybe one day I become a photographer for the national geographic ☺

Im not a night club kind of person at all, but i'll go anywhere if includes the words: wine and food! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I know some people don’t like him, but I love Paulo Coelho’s books. But in general I love novels that either teach me some history or let me thinking about life.

For music lately I’ve been listening to swing! I’m slowly falling in love with this music and all that it involves: the dance, the musicians, the whole swing world.. I love it!

My favorite movie is I Origins… if you haven’t watch it.. please do!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Maybe this won´t be amazing for everybody, but is pretty amazing for me.
I quit a good job and left a safe life and traded it for uncertainty. I will always be proud of myself for doing this …plus at the same time I quitted smoking.. :)

Also, to be able to go outside my comfort zone in Chile, quitting my life there and starting a new completely different life of travelling and living in 5 different countries on 4 continents, and tried to immerse myself in the culture. I don't see myself as a tourist but rather as someone open to discover the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

There’s so many things I want to learn:

For languages I love Greek, Euskera and Hebrew.

People often tell me..but , don’t you wanna learn a useful language?.. nop.. I wanna learn all the things that for an inexplicable reason I love.
I will find a way to make it useful.

Also I want to learn swing dance! and I would love to take a philosophy course, and maybe a coaching course. i'm obsessed lately with Simon Sinek.
