About Me

CURRENT MISSION

home saving money for the next trip!

ABOUT ME

I have a huge heart for helping people, especially when it comes to inner city outreaches. I have worked with nonprofits all over the word getting to experience different cultures and people at the same time- Its the best!

Im a Lady and like many of us... I love shoes! (in all styles) One minute im painting the town in my high heels, and the next you could find me in my climbing shoes or snowboard boots!

I spend most of my time behind a camera, rock climbing, dancing with friends on the weekends, enjoying the outdoors of 'pure michigan' : )

I grew up the daughter of a builder, so I'm quite handy. I like to joke with my parents how my great work ethic comes from all the child labor they put me through. Truly, Im so thankful for all they taught me when it comes to work and money.

I love people, but I'd say my favorite times are when it's a smaller group of 4-6. Is a much more personal experience.

Oh, I'm ALWAYS cold. I have been to Africa, DR, and in the Humidity of New Orleans when it was 100 degrees and I'd be wearing a hoodie while everyone else claims to be dying of heat and sweating. Its always asked 'how do you live in MI?' this Im still asking myself. I'd have to say its because I love my family, and although I hate the cold I live the seasons. If I could move my family I'd live in Denver In heartbeat.

PHILOSOPHY

If it is possible, as much as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

"All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty reassess of there minds, wake to find it was vanity, but the dreamers of the day are dangerouse men, for they may act there dreams with open eyes, to make it possible." T.E Lawrance

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I feel so blessed to have done and seen so many amazing things, a few of those being;

At age 12 (my love for travel started) I went to Mexico and worked at an orphanage and was blessed to be able to go back the following two summers and the last time staying for just over a month. Seriously, I still can't belive my parents let me go, but I think they realized it would take a lot to stop me.

I was able to help out after hurricane Katrina, one of the saddest and most rewarding moments of my life.

Iceland. It is was by far the most amazing place I have ever been. If you haven't experienced it yourself, it is going to be hard to grasp just how great it is. The nightlife in Raykjavik is out of this world, with the restaurants by day turning into nightclubs at night with dj's bringing in there own setups, tables cleared out and let's not forget the people that show up. (giants by the way haha) I'm 5' 4 and not traveling with heels to this place was a huge mistake. I never felt so short in my life. I think everyone stood 2ft above me. Try dancing In a crowd like that. The bars don't close till 8am and when we came out of the bars the streets were covered in broken glass and trash, and we witnessed a guy body slam into a resturant window and breat it, then just walk off and no one around cared. The next morning I would have thought it was all a dream because the streets were spotless and it was back to being a quaint little town again, except the resturant now had boards where the glass was broken the night before. I can't not mention saying that northern lights dancing across the sky made me speechless as I stood in awe. Oh and lastly, hiking along a stream fed by hot springs in the middle of the mountains and taking a break to sit in places where the water pools... Amazing

I've gone bungee jumping off a bridge in SA, that was pretty amazing.

Scubadiving in cayman islands, snowboarding in the backcountry of the Aspen mountains in colorado, and watching my nephew be born. (birth is such a miricle)
