About Me
CURRENTLY HOSTING IN DAHAB, SOUTH SINAI, EGYPT. We can show you around, introduce you to the culture from our perspective, introduce you with locals, Bedouin friends. We can help you with tips, what to avoid, what to not miss. Upon our return, to Canada we will continue to host surfers. Our home is a nice place to relax and enjoy the nature around.
At home, I work as a researcher/policy advisor and my expertise is on youth. I love my work. I live in Chelsea, a small community in the heart of the Gatineau park, about 15 minutes from downtown Ottawa, with 2 of my 3 beautiful children. We travel a lot together... feeling so free on the road! They are the best backpackers! We love serious adventure, trying the wildest things, pushing our limits and exploring out-of-the-way places. We travel with our eyes, ears, mind and heart wide open.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because it's a really cool idea for travellers!
BUT
If you are not a traveler, if you are coming to my town for business, for an education purpose or for any other reason than for traveling and discovering the world, then please don't ask to come to my place. I don't run a free hotel and appreciate hosting people who keep with the CS spirit and who also host when they are back home. I have seen too many young people during their gap year trying to travel for free then closing their account once they get back home.
Please don’t send me friends request if we don’t know each other.
Interests
I like to meet people who inspire me with their vision, their talent or their actions. Or teach me things about society or politics or about the ecology. I love to meet people from other cultures who have a different experience of life. I love people who are genuine, generous and who deeply care about others in everything they do. I don't like arrogance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Its my second time taking the whole year off to backpack around world with my children - we homeschool along the way. I think is is pretty amazing. I did many other amazing things in my work for example, or as an athlete., but most importantly, I met many amazing people. Life has been generous - and there is more to come, that's for sure!
Teach, Learn, Share
Looking for the essence of life: what are the ingredients for being fully alive, fully human and completely awake...
What I Can Share with Hosts
We love chatting about everything or anything, good food, wine... We enjoy nature and are always up for hiking, paddling, camping, sailing. We can share our good vibrations, our passion for discovery and learning, our love for traveling and many many stories about our adventures. We are a special type of family and because of that, we experience very unique adventures (and misadventures!) we can share.
Of course, we can also help our hosts during our stay, in anyway possible.
