About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore South America!

After spending almost 2 amazing years in North and Central Americas, then being back to the office for another year in my beloved Lithuania, it's time for me now to embark on a new journey and explore the yet unknown parts of the world.
I spent 14 months in New Zealand, working and travelling around as well as 3,5 months in Asia.
Now I can't wait to be back to Latin America!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I am travelling at the moment, I'm not able to host people, but in the future I definitely will!
I try to stay with local people in every new country I visit and spread a word about how great Couchsurfing is.

Unfortunately I never had a chance to host people as back at home I lived with my parents in a small apartment. When I was travelling and living abroad, most of the apartments I lived in were staff accommodations :(

Interests

Music. Books. Concerts. Hiking. Camping. Hitchhiking. Music festivals. Baltic culture. Mountains. Empty beaches. Trying new food. Keeping in touch!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: pretty much everything from old Lithuanian folk songs to indie rock, country or electronic.
My guilty pleasure is Latin pop music but it helps me learning Spanish.. :D Feel free to recommend me some Spanish singing bands!

Books: mostly sociological literature, Lithuanian poetry.

Movies: I like thrillers with twist endings (like Prisoners or Shutter Island). Also a fan of social and environmental documentaries.
Favourite TV series: Twin Peaks, Narcos, Breaking Bad, Lost, La Casa de Papel, You, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed Acatenango volcano in Guatemala and spent a night on the top watching the nearby active volcano erupting!

Snorkeled in the world second largest barrier reef in Belize with nurse sharks and stingrays.

Was working and living for 4 months in a remote lodge in Abel Tasman National Park, New Zealand, which was accessible only by boat or by walking (10 hours from the closest town). There was no phone reception and very weak WiFi signal but there was a bunch of amazing like minded co-workers from all over the world and some of them became friends for life.

Paraglided in Nepal overlooking the stunning Himalayas.

Hitchhiked quite a lot around Europe, North America, Central America and New Zealand.

Spent almost a year living in a small mountain resort in Canada and could see the mountains every day.

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach you few Lithuanian phrases but really doubt they will be very useful hahah. You can try to pronounce the longest Lithuanian word 'nebeprisikiškiakopūsteliaudavome'...
