关于我
CURRENT MISSION
Trying to find my way through the labyrinthine road that is life
ABOUT ME
I'm a Law and Political Science student in France/Ireland/Italy (depending on the date you met me), though I was born and raised in Ecuador. I moved to Europe when I was but 18 years old and will be hanging around on this side of the pond at least until I finish my Masters (or -if my dad has his way- until I become a lawyer). In all honesty, I seem to have trouble staying in only one place for a long time, thus I relocate quite frequently, constantly looking for a 'home away from home', if you will. I try to go wherever life takes me and learn as much as I can from every person I meet, from every book I read, from each place I go to.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in the unity of all things that make up the universe we live in -I try hard to see every single being as an essential part of it, not superior or inferior, just different and complemetary. I think the world and life itself is perfect in all its imperfection.
Oftentimes I find myself reflecting on social inequality and the social/economic/cultural contrast between developed and developing countries. Nonetheless, I believe that there are patterns in human behaviour that surpass these contextual disparities, that the human race is one and the same, despite the efforts of a few to categorise and divide us.

I tried CS for the first time in Switzerland and it was an unforgettable experience. I deeply admire this initiative and try to be as active in CS as possible, especially when I arrive to a new city.
兴趣
I love travelling, getting to know people from all over the world and actually getting in touch with a different culture. Reading books, listening to music, getting lost in a great city, are among my favorite things to do.

音乐、电影和书籍
I'm pretty much into every movie with a good script. Independent films and classics (you know, the ones in black and white) always peak my interest.
As for music, I'm very much into opera (my favourites are Norma and Aida). I love Arcangelo Corelli and listen to The Smiths and The Doors quite a lot. I like music from the 50s, 60, 70s, and 80s -it's almost as if I felt nostalgic for a time that I never knew.
When it comes to books, I do have a bit of a preference since I cherish all the classics and I try to read each book in the language in which it was written. I can go from Stendhal, Victor Hugo, and Simone de Beauvoir to Mario Vargas Llosa, Cortazar and Garcia Marquez, all the way through Hemingway, Kundera and Anne Rice, just to name a few. A few months back I went through a profound Haruki Murakami phase. I'm currently trying (and almost failing) to conquer James Joyce's Ulysses.

教,学,和分享
I'm a sucker for interesting conversations. Foreign politics appeal to me quite a bit -after all, I did study International Law. Philosophy, History, Psychology and Art are some of my favourite conversation subjects. Above all, I love learning about different cultures and ways of seeing the world.
