About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Discovering the world, one country at a time.

ABOUT ME

I have learned that the more I travel, the more I want to travel. I was born in Hong Kong but grew up in Canada. After university, I moved to Japan to teach English, then taught high school in London, did tons of travelling, then moved back home. I love trying random things, whether it be playing the drums or with circus toys, the more varied the better. I enjoy meeting new people (obviously) and I'm looking forward to meeting people who will open their hearts and homes to like-minded travellers.

PHILOSOPHY

I change my five-year plan every few days. It's good to be flexible because you never know when something new will interest you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met some awesome Romanians while traveling in Morocco and they invited me to visit. It was an amazing trip and one of the guys told me about CS, which seemed apt as I was already surfing on their couches! I've been hosted a few more times and they've been good. I love meeting locals and seeing more of a city than its landmarks.

Interests

Writing, acting, traveling (of course!), learning languages, daydreaming...

Music, Movies, and Books

This question is always difficult for me to answer as there are just too many to choose from. However, I am not ashamed to admit that the movie I've probably watched the most in my entire life is D2: The Mighty Ducks. This is not reflective of all the things I like though!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Karnak Temple in Luxor, Egypt...exactly what you'd picture when you think of ancient ruins.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: English, science and drama (if you want to learn that for some reason...but I am a high school teacher after all!)

Learn: Currently trying to be fluent in French, though I love learning all languages!

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Morocco, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, Japan, United Kingdom
