ABOUT ME
If I'd been more of a conformist I'd probably have a degree in Psychology today but I'm a rebel at heart so don't have anything like that to offer I'm afraid. I've always just followed my heart in life and have done what I've thought to be the right thing at that moment.
I have been wrong at times I guess but for the most part it's led me to some great things and places...still searching though.
Generally, I'm a very open minded and tolerant person. I'm easy going and love to meet people and hear about their lives but I can also be a bit introverted until I get to know them a bit better. I always speak my mind and question everything. I can't accept being told "we've always done it that way"....I want to know why?
I love to have long, philosophical discussions about life but not with aggressive or narrow-minded people.
Please Note: to view the references that I've left for those who've referenced me, just click their pictures. The one Negative Reference below is from some guy I've never met, he approached several women from DUS in a rather offensive manner and received negative feedback from all of us.
PHILOSOPHY
If you believe everything you read, you better not read. ~Japanese Proverb

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, so good!
Interests
I love to cook. I love good food and wine but also the atmosphere, like candlelight and the right music to fit the company, is important to me. I'm fascinated by people's religious beliefs and love to talk and hear about such things. I love music very much, my mother & her boyfriend were hobby DJ's and my mother a national silver medalist in Latin American dance, we always had loads of records lying around at home and they would throw home parties with their equipment. My mother would come home at times and order everyone to stop what they were doing because we all HAD to listen to something!

Music, Movies, and Books
Some of my favourite films are: Under the Tuscan Sun, The Bridges of Madison County and The Horse Whisperer.
I love most types of music, it's a mood thing...I have around 600 CDs with a bit of everything, rock, pop, alternative, country, classic, just everything really.
As for books, up until I turned 12 or 13 I'd read everything from Br'er Rabbit to Harold Robbins (my mother's a huge reader and gave me my first Archer novel when I was around 11 or 12, it was 'Kane and Abel', fantastic book) but now I only really read non-fiction. I recently read David Icke's Robot's Rebellion, very interesting. I loved James Redfield's Celestine Prophecy too. My bookshelf runs accross two walls and has all sorts on it....Religion, Esoteric, Astrology, Spirituality, and LOADS of cookbooks!!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'd have to say the experience swimming with around 20 wild dolphins (and their babies) in the Red Sea. I was in Egypt on vacation in El Gouna and took a boat trip out snorkeling one morning. Usually the boats are full of tourists but it was out of season so it was just myself and my then boyfriend plus a lovely lady we picked up from another hotel. I was hoping to maybe see a giant turtle at the most so when those dolphins swam up to us I was out of my mind. They came so close, we could almost touch them with the tips of our fingers, and they swam all around us for at least five minutes. The hotel staff said we were very lucky because everyone hopes to see a dolphin from the boat, just to watch them, but that it doesn't happen very often so swimming with so many of them, in the wild, was a very special gift which I treasure so much.
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe that we all learn from each other but that we don't always realise what it is that we have to offer. Sometimes I learn from others about the person I don't want to be, but these people usually have no clue that they've taught me something valuable. So...in general, I just try to keep an open mind and I always tell the truth. I try not to judge anyone for the things they've said or done, or for how they look or dress or anything like that.
You never know what or who's going to be around the next corner or why....that's what makes life so exciting.
