ABOUT ME

I am studying teaching profession at secondary level at the University of Potsdam. Currently I am writing my last 2 papers in Berlin. I have also been working as a private tutor for almost 6 years now and really like teaching all sorts of skills to my students. Ultimately I want to become a teacher for sports and English, teaching students from 5th to 12th grade.
In September 2010 I earned my Bachelor of Education Degree.
From Oct 2010 until April 2011, I was working as an assistant teacher at Macleans College in Auckland, New Zealand. I was helping out with and teaching PE and ESOL classes from year 9-12 there which I really enjoyed. I gained a lot of experience in the field of teaching but also in sports that I was unfamiliar with before such as cricket and softball.
In April 2011 I started my Masters courses and I am striving to achieve my Master of Education in the summer of 2015.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I got the chance to experience couchsurfing quite a couple times by now. The very firts time I travelled to Philly, USA with my brother and we stayed at Peter´s house which was a very valuable experience for us.
When I was couchsurfing in New Zealand each and every single one of my experiences was great!
As soon as I have settled a bit more being back in Berlin, I would like to start hosting people again.

Interests

My interests are learning and speaking languages, especially English. I really like taking care of children, playing with them and teaching them all kinds of skills. I love travelling and exploring countries unknown to me. Moreover, I do a lot of sports, primarily gymnastics, swimming and biking.
I enjoy meeting new people and get to know different cultures more and more and as much as possible.
