About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Find my balance in the big city Toronto.
ABOUT ME
Right now, I am studying masters in business in UofT. I just moved here in Aug 2018 and am trying to form a network of people with similar interests. I was born and raised in a small Town of India Near Amritsar, Punjab. Then life took several turns to Chandigarh, Delhi, Bangalore and Finally The Hague, Netherlands, Where I made some major changes from a normal life. I quit my job and started travelling. I did a 165 days long Europe trip through about 15 countries with hitchhiking. I rented an apartment in Split and hosted couchsurfers everyday (max 6 in 1 night)and then worked in a hostel in Kosovo. After partying in Europe for 6 months, I was done with partying and travelled India for 6 months with spiritual backpackers. This experience changed me and I ended up opening a business. I opened a tourism business named jugaadus in amritsar including hostel and cultural tours. I came to UofT to expand my knowledge and network of business. I am mostly happy and would always meet you with a big smile. Some of my friends call me Indian guru for positive thoughts about life. YOLO and "Why not" are my favorites.
PHILOSOPHY
YOLO, "Why not".
Never expect anything from anyone except yourself.
You are only as much happy as you want to be.
You can only be successful in life if you do what you love.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I started with CS about 7 years Back when I was bored with my friendless work life in Holland. I was looking to make a social life and meet new people and I stumbled upon this website. I have hosted about 60 people( lots of groups with single reference) till now officially and many when they were drunk and needed a couch to crash near city center. Right now I own a backpackers hostel in amritsar and host there.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted awesome people so far and have always gained something. My first guest helped me overcome my fear of cooking. My 2nd guest gave me a friend in the local city to hang out. Had a mad party with the 3rd guest where we ended up drunk at Amsterdam central at 8 am. People from couchsurfing have surfed my couch a lot unofficially after drink parties and meetings.
