ABOUT ME
I am an outgoing, organized and spontaneous person who spends most of my money and time on traveling, sailing, climbing, and books. Most of the time you'll find me outdoors in nature or at sea.

I live in the south of Sweden where I study medicine to become a doctor, dance lindy hop, drink red wine and cook delicious dinners together with my favorite person and partner, Filip. We recently had a year off from our studies and traveled through South America and then Nepal, India, and Sri Lanka. An amazing journey with great stories to tell! In medicine, I am especially interested in global health and particularly maternal health - I see this as a field that needs a lot more attention and research, which I hope to be working with in the future.

Although outgoing and social, I am very flexible, independent and respectful of other people's privacy. I enjoy having a Friday night by myself once in a while to read, eat ice cream and just chill. As a guest I like to meet new people, but have no trouble finding my own way around or minding other people's space.

PHILOSOPHY

To try new things and gain new experiences opens your mind and makes you more humble, tolerant, and interesting.

At university I am active in organizations who work for equal rights of humans regardless of sex, ethnicity, sexual preferences, handicaps, age, religion or citizenship and that is my philosophy - for everyone to have equal rights, possibilities, and responsibility. I am a feminist and a vegetarian, two topics which are very close to my heart. I am also politically engaged in a party which focuses on the health care question in the southern part of Sweden, where health care has declined recently and we are trying to make it more humane and accessible for everyone.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Few but so far good. I couchsurfed with a friend in Central America and after that I realized I had to sign up!
I am happy and interested in getting to know new people, and love staying with local people wherever I travel to see more than the "touristy" parts and to really experience the culture of where I am.

兴趣

Anything outdoors! I have spent most of my childhood at sea during the summer and skiing during the winter - gotta love Scandinavia..
I also like trying new things and recently discovered rock climbing and surfing!
I reading a lot of books and magazines, sometimes staying up all night if I find a good book.
I also enjoy fine red wines!

I can teach you basic lindy hop (it's a swing dance and incredibly fun) and also whatever you want to know in Swedish.
I love sharing and hearing random stories, good and bad. I love discussing new things, and to hear about other people's opinions and experiences - I think it broadens your mind every (mostly) time.

I am a good cook and will share this with whomever I'm staying with! I like discussions about everything and anything over a good dinner, but I can also keep to myself if I am staying with someone who wants more privacy.
