About Me
CURRENT MISSION
- it's not a mission but a way of life -
ABOUT ME
easily bored,
spontaneous, organized,
opinionated but open-minded,
stubborn yet easily convinced (by thought-through arguments!)
PHILOSOPHY
I'm too ambivalent to limit myself to one personal philosophy. However, in my experience it's at the end of my comfort zone where some of my life's most exciting experiences have been made
We don't need to share opinions or values to find common ground, connect, respect & enjoy each others company
It's through interaction (discussing, arguing, disagreeing, asking, offering honest reflections) that I learn most about myself & others. Not through assumptions & guesses
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, so good. Made some good friends and am genuinely happy to have joined this site
Interests
Travel (evidently!), people of all shapes and sizes, music and concerts/festivals, to learn about things I know nothing or little about, photography and the outdoors, fooood & chocolate dessert
Music, Movies, and Books
Movie freak, music lover, less time for books than I wish to have
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The conversation with a curious woman and her mother on the train from Tbilisi to Batumi, Georgia. With few common words we were able to communicate for hours with body language and smiles. The amazing sunrise that I caught a glimpse of from the tiny toilet window later that morning made the journey complete. Another time, on the plane from Istanbul to Denmark, a man and his wife resolutely shared the bread they had kept in the woman's bag as well as the water that they paid a shameless price for on the plane. Again, we had no way of communicating easily but the way in which they shared everything they had with me without question truly left me awestruck
Teach, Learn, Share
If you're ever in Turkey the phrase "What can I do!" and shrugging your shoulders will be useful, as a lot of things are out of your hands. Take every minute as it comes and don't expect your day to go according to plan! Repeat after me: yavaş yavaş (slow slow). Don't get stuck in Istanbul, this is not at all representative of the country and there are so many places to see
