About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To show that Danes are not the reserved creatures many visitors presume us to be! Some Danes may be surprised to be talked to by total strangers, but keep talking and we are actually quite open and friendly!

ABOUT ME

Me: Journalist, environmentalist, hospitable, open mind, loves to meet new people, adventures, travelling, cooking and baking without recipes, socialising with friends new and old, talking to total strangers.
Husband Lars: Selvemployed landscaper, also very social and loves travelling, but works too hard.
Son Magnus: 23, musician and art student, favorite passtimes music, arts, arranging concerts etc. Also loves to cook - dreams up wonderful meals and is very health oriented. Is very careful not to become chubby like his parents!

PHILOSOPHY

Past misfortunes/sad upbringing etc. should not keep you from trying to reach your goal, to live life to the fullest or to treat other people with respect.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We don't have a lot of space, but we have spare mattresses, a big garden for camping and a primitive roof hut. You can also sleep in a hammock under the stars or in our old caravan!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Lots! Has lent my couch to many travellers during the years and stayed with some of them in return. Used to be a host at Friends Overseas. For instance: Scott complained that Danes were cold and reserved and ended up staying on my couch for 3 weeks (!). In return he hosted me and to friends for a week! Our first couchsurfing experience was hosting Moses and Dalia from Israel - great guests, we really became friends fast and still see each other! We have also hosted a couple from Belgium and a guy from Canada.
