ABOUT ME

My favorite things to do these days include: playing soccer with my friends (who are fun but also cutthroat), chatting about novels with my book club, and learning new things during PowerPoint Club (yes, it's real). My boyfriend, Brett, and I are also trying to watch every single Elvis movie in 2012.

I have surfed with some great people in the UK and Europe, and hosted some fun people in Portland on several different occasions.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CouchSurfing really makes your traveling experience more personal—people are able to connect with the culture and the area in a way that is not available to regular tourists passing through. The camaraderie witnessed between people who have never met is always amazing to me!

Interests

In no particular order, I love reading books and The New Yorker, cooking, baking, sewing, happy hour, watching "30 Rock" and "SNL," making cards and writing letters, going to Blazers games, listening to music, dancing, and hanging out with my weird cat.

A few good books I've read recently include A Visit from the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan, A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again by David Foster Wallace, White Teeth by Zadie Smith, and Pulphead by John Jeremiah Sullivan.
