I am the youngest child of the family.

I sang in the choir.
I like to read books and spend my time with family and friends.
Usually I am the one who cooks.

I like to travel. I hope that some day I will be brave enough to leave my comfort zone and travel around not only for some days, but for long period of time.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

It all started when I became an Erasmus exchange student in September 2016. I lived in Portugal for 4 months and it was an amazing, life changing experience. I met so many kind, friendly and open minded people from different countries. It was the first time when I was so far from my home for such a long time, but I felt like at home because of the Portuguese people and my Erasmus friends. We spent a lot of time together not only to get to know each other, but also to learn more about our culture, traditions.

During my Erasmus period, I had a lot of visitors from Latvia who stayed at my place for a couple of days. One of my friends at that time was traveling around the Europe and she came to Portugal and told me about this platform and her positive experience.

Before I went back to Latvia, I decided to go on mini trip. We bought the tickets Porto-Barcelona-London-Riga and it was incredible! I didn't have any references, but my friend shared some information and I found the best host ever!

I learn a lot about history, traditions, nature, cousine and people, who lived there. We joked, watched movies etc. Everything was real, but it felt like a fairy tale.

I am member of couchsurfing because I like the real experience and hidden treasures that only real locals knows.
