About to Explore Amsterdam and Iceland. When traveling I try to experience the local culture and communities of each region and connect with local people. I prefer to see how people really live, eat, and cook over tourist attractions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I signed up for couch surfing many years ago but never used it and have recently re-activated the profile. I think couch surfing would be the best way to experience the real "local" cultures instead of just tourist attractions.

Couple goals of my upcoming trip:

- Meet and experience a slice of life of the locals I stay with.
- See how local people cook.
- Ride a bike through amsterdam
- Do a small hike in Iceland
- See a glacier in Iceland
- Make some new friends outside my normal circles
Would really like to see a glacier on this trip.
