About Me

I'm a Chilean living in Melbourne for the momento but moving around.
I spent the past couple of years finishing my studies and working. Mainly in Chile but I lived around 10 months in France. This gave me the oportunity to travel and I loved it. So before getting a full time job in Chile and staying there for a while I wanted to see more of the world or maybe find a new home somewhere. I have been in Australia since 2016.
I'm a happy guy, easy going, respectfull, not picky, adaptable, reliable and optimistic. Lots of people have told me I should be acting on stage hahaha why not!
I'm hopefully moving to Cairns this month (February 2017), hopefully meet great people, see the city, and if their are any good oportunities I could look for a place and a job so I can stay there for a longer period of time, it couldn't hurt you know!
And my way of living is to be nice to people, because I want them to be nice to me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Is a great way to hang out with new people and get to know different cultures and their experiences. A nice change to the daily routine!
The question should be: Why not couchsurfing? haha

Interests

For the momento traveling in on the the top 5 haha, but also a nice beach day (any sunny day is a good one), all sorts of music (mostly rock), going out with friends, going to parties and concerts. I love a good walk down the street or to a park, after that a beer is always good.
Read online about worldwide topics regarding updates, changes, controvercies, improvements and such about foreign policy, conflicts, politics, economy, technology, their social impact, religión, enviormental issues, corporate/state corruption and science progress. Podcasts are good, but I prefer debates or lectures, TED Talks are great.
Going for a walk in the Bush is always good, especially in this country, is beautiful.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music of all types, I like Metallica and I like Bob Marley. Mostly rock n' roll, hard rock, glam rock, heavy metal, grunge, alternative or progressive. Could be fast or slow.
Movies I have watched like 2,500, a few TV series but books not a lot, because I'm quite particular about books, I read like 1 a year... Only true books about research or history involved, no novels or fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did part of my trip through Europe without a pone (not by choice), nowadays for some people that is un hear off hahaha but actually is quite a wonderful experience.

A lot of great things while travelling for sure! Helping a charity in Australia about a wildlife shelter. Also after the 2010 earthquake in Chile, I was helping in the gathering of donations and loading them into trucks. Also I went to the country side outside Santiago to help locals with structural damages to homes or property.
I traveled from Sydney to Melbourne going along the coast stopping in a bunch of places during a week. Very nice places, people and things to see.
I was in the army for a year, regarding personal experiences, for me is kind of amazing.
