Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I make friends with other surfers! I also like to learn and use the local language wherever I'm going. Couchsurfing gives us all endless possibilities to practice languages, both when surfing and hosting people! When connecting me, please write me in any language but English, and I'll be much happier to answer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My best journey was a ride by bicycle from Tallinn, Estonia to Pisa, Italy. I have also crossed the river Ob in Siberia in a tank rolling into the deep water lying on the ice shield.

I have not flied since 1992. In 2015, I made up a Facebook group Maata pitkin matkustavat for those who want to travel environment friendly, using no airplanes. In 2019, the group has more than 15 000 members :)
