About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live in my authentic Joy and be of service to the community for the Highest Love within.
ABOUT ME
Hello! My birth name is Amanda but I go by Santi :) I grew up in a house hold that was always hosting people/students/WOOFers from around the world, so I think this played a part in curating my wunderlusting spirit! I started traveling internationally after college and have not been able to stop! I have traveled to 20 countries and just recently quit my long-time career in Night Life Service Industry to take a belated "gap year" to travel and explore what truly brings me Joy. Things that interest me in traveling: nature, hiking, yoga, music/dance festivals, art, Spiritual healing, permaculture, sustainable practices/building, and meeting locals to REALLY get to know a city/country. I am also currently working on a new project of creating Conscious Adventure Retreats locally and out of the country, so while I am traveling, I like to find new places that I could potentially bring a group of people back to during a future retreat.
I am very punctual, clean, organized and find respect in being on time but I love to have fun, try new things, and take risks! I believe in stepping into my fears and finding the joys that reside on the other side. Although I am definitely a social butterfly, I also recharge alone and find peace in quiet time daily to balance out the social activities.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couch surfed only once in 2012 on my first solo trip across the sea. It was in Rome, Italy and I had such a lovely experience! It was great to get to know the city from a local perspective and make friends along the way.
Interests
Hiking, Ecstatic Dance, Nature, Travel and Photography are some of my passions. I also love to take care of my body via healthy eating and exercise, which means I cook a lot of my own food. I love learning new foods when I visit different countries, and I am always open to trying something at least once! My favorite type of exercise to do while traveling is exploring the city by walking or bike, and getting a good hike in to see beautiful views in the area. Over the next year I will taking part in several extensive Yoga retreats and trainings to really dive deeper into that world and I am also looking to expand my knowledge on gardening, and sustainable communities and building. I plan to have land with a home and healing center in the somewhat near future, so I would love to learn this skills to bring to that future dream!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music of all types, and really enjoy discovering new music that moves me. My favorite types of music are house/dance/dubstep and hip-hop but I also like country, pop, rock, electronic, and alternative.
I listen to a lot of audio books, my favorite type is self help & spiritual guidance.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most fulfilling, joyous moments of my life was co-hosting my first conscious retreat and hearing how that weekend had impacted the guests lives. This was a reassuring moment that I had figured out the type of work I wanted to do with my life.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can happily share a wealth of knowledge on healthy eating/cooking as this is something I have studied a lot over the years. I also love to share tips/advice on being present, letting go of unpleasant experiences/grudges, seeing things from a new perspective, and calming down in high stress/anxiety situations. I am a great motivator and I love to brainstorm ideas. And lastly, I love to take photos for people so they have special memories to cherish forever.
