ABOUT ME

I´m Santiago but everybody calls me either santi or calca because of my lastname. I consider myself a calmed down, respectful and funny person. I´ve always loved travelling but I've never dared to do it alone and now I've just turned 24 and a couple of months ago I started to question everything I was doing in my life (career, job, etc) and decided that I needed a change in it, so I dropped college, quitted my job and sold my car and came to europe for 3 months all by myself to get in touch with me again and then go back to argentina to make a fresh start of everything.

PHILOSOPHY

I´m a really calmed and open-minded person, I don´t like judging someone just beacuse of how it looks or by how he/she thinks, I like getting to know everyone I meet and their cultures because I think that we are here in the earth to learn from one another in order to become better humans.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is my first time in couchsurfing. A friend of mine, mica, recommended me this website. I´m new at couchsurfing but i hope i can get to know new people, make new friends and exchange cultures.
At the moment I´m travelling around europe and I´m only surfing but after returning I will be able to couch.

Interests

I love cooking, it´s one of the things I´m most passionate about, i´ve been cooking since i was 8 and that's why I´m going to study to become a chef. Besides that I like playing tennis, running, swimming and listening to music. I used to study english translation and i quitted it but i still like teaching english.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all sorts of movies, it´s like i´m a bit of a film fan so i like watching movies a lot in my free times.
Regarding music, i like a little bit of every type of music but i like better pop,rock,soul and chill out.
I like reading a lot, i´m always reading something and i like a wide variety of genres that go from poetry, love stories, drama, science fiction to spiritual and alternative medicine books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It´s difficult but i would say coming to this trip i´m making around europe for 3 months all by myself...i´ve never done a trip alone and i´ve never been this far away from my family for so long so it is the best experience i´ve ever had and i´m growing a lot. I´m discovering new parts of me and enjoying every moment i spend here...i´m really happy with doing this trip, so far it´s been great!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I think that you can never just divide into categories of learning or teaching, because everybody is always learning,teaching and having/sharing new experiences every single day. So it doesn´t matter wether you are a 2 year old or a 90 year old person it´s just about listening to everyone and sharing every experience you´ve ever had o been into.
