I am a PhD student in the Department of Sociology at UC Berkeley, nerd alert. I grew up in central Mexico, in Querétaro; what used to be a quaint city with a beautiful colonial downtown and near perfect weather. I did my undergrad at the University of Chicago, froze my toes off there for five years.
