Overview
About Me
We're Santiago and Sofía, 27 and 28 years old. We live in a flat in Colegiales (a centric neighborhood in downtown Buenos Aires, near Palermo).
We've been dating for eight years and we love travelling, as well as discovering new things to do in our amazing city. Also, we absolutely enjoy literature, films, TV shows, and playing music together. We both like geeky stuff like Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Game of Thrones, but we disagree when it comes to romantic tearjerker movies, which Sofi loves so much, while Santi would rather watch some bloody Tarantino’s film. In addition, we like exploring the spiritual world through reiki, meditations, and that sort of things.
To sum up, we are a sociable couple, we really enjoy learning about other people’s cultures, and we love our cats Chibi and Mandi!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We've met amazing people in hostels who suggested trying out Couchsurfing, so we think that's the next step to keep on meeting great people.
We also believe this is a good way to really get to know a place when travelling, to step away from the typical tourist attractions. Besides, our hosts can show us the cultural and political realities of their home countries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For six years, we've travelled to Jujuy (North of Argentina) once a year to visit ten rural schools. The students who attend those schools live very far away (some even have to walk five or six hours to go to class) in really isolated villages. The aim of the group is to give children one day that's different from every other: we prepare games, dress up as clowns, perform a play, and spend the whole day with them. The group is called "Amiguitos del Norte", you can look it up on Facebook!
Also, we hiked for around six hours in Bariloche, Argentina, to reach a mountain shelter (refugio Frey) and spent the night there. It was our first hike to a shelter, so it was very challenging for us!
Teach, Learn, Share
We like discussing about books and movies, always highlighting their positive aspects and reflecting on their messages and implied meanings.
We can tell you many things about Argentina! Apart from living there, we've both taken degrees that involved a great amount of cultural and political studies, so we're interested in learning about your culture, society and politics as well!
We also love sharing both our travel and meditation experiences, and we're really curious about other people's spiritual and supernatural stories.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can suggest tons of movies and books, tell you why you should visit Argentina, help you practice your Spanish, and bring you some typical Argentine milk caramel.
