About Me
Hey! I'm Santi! I grew up in a little city in central Argentina, and now I'm living in Córdoba. Currently studying philosophy at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba.
I make home-made Beer. So, yeaaah, I love beer in all its different colors and flavors! Also I like wine very much. A friend once told me the following question: If you were to choose between wine or beer for the rest of your life, what would you choose? I find that question quite perturbing but i've figured the solution out: i'd stick to Barleywine! (Naaah, just kidding. I wouldn't be able to choose)
What else? Well, I adore music (The dark side of the moon is the best album of the XX century, no doubts about that!). I learned how to play the trumpet and the bass guitar but now I just stick to listening to it instead of playing it.
Also, books are a big part of my life. I definitely love literature. I read philosophy essays for uni and also out of pleasure.
I like to travel, but I have found that the best thing about travelling is to get to know other people and share a good meal, wine(-beer) and a talk. Cities are good, yes, but what is most interesting about travelling is the people living there.
Talking about cities, I'm a guy who does enjoy discovering cities but I also really like going by bike to a lake and open a couple of beers and talk contemplating the landscape or going to the mountains and do some sport over there. This is partly because I grew up in a truly-small village in central Córdoba and I always had the river, the mountains and plenty of green all around me. And in the other hand the enjoyment of cities, museums (from time to time), architecture, pubs and universities is because I moved to the City of Córdoba (nowadays with a population of 1.500.000 inhabitants) for 2 years already.
I speak English and French. I understand Italian but I can't speak it. Finally, I'm currently learning German.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I like to travel, but not to travel alone. What I enjoy the most about travelling is being with other human beings and have conversations, discover the city, go for a walk, go to the mountains and so forth.
Really, I do like travelling and discovering new cities and places but the best of all of it is the persons I meet along the way. I mean, for me the feeling of welcoming someone who I don't know at all and after three or four days saying goodbye with an enormous hug and knowing that I've made a friend who doesn't live and who wasn't raised in the same part of the world as me is one of the most wonderful sentiments I've ever experienced. And all of that thanks to CS.
